Welcome to Multiplo Talk ! Do not hesitate in contacting moderators to guide you solve any problem you've got. Go to the main site for further information on the Robot Kits
All Multiplo mechanical parts will be released as DXF (so the users will be able to manufacture them by cheap and widely available techniques, like laser cutting). This is the forum's discussion related to these comming-soon blueprints...
Hi JK and Iana, sorry for the delay in the answers. This is going to be very active now that people are getting the kits. I've been distracted preparing the Kickstarter rewards, you know that!
@JK: there is big library that we sent via USB drives to our backers. Now I am updating the GitHub repository, it could be great if you can download them, make your changes and make the community grow.
@Iana: yes! you can print them out after exporting them, but you need to make some small change to the models. I.E., for our 2D blueprints (ready to use with laser cutters) you should extrude the surface and make a 3D model first. We made a workshop at a hackerspace, but never documented it properly. It would be amazing if we can make a guide step by step.
We will be working on the GitHub repository soon, but by now, you can download the whole USB Flashdrive content with the preliminary versions (both in DXF and DFT -for Siemmens' free SolidEdge 2D software, recommended-) from this link:
I've extruded some of the parts, saved them as .STL and imported them into Slic3r. But they all complain of errors and the proposed print looks very wrong...
